The Falmouth Public Library consists of a main library in Falmouth center and two small branches. The main library provides that bulk of the adult programming, which is generously funded by the board of trustees and friends of the library group. Falmouth (pop. 31,532) a popular summer vacation spot located 73 miles south of Boston, boasts 68 miles of shoreline, is the second largest town on Cape Cod and has higher than the national average population of senior citizens. The library has a professional staff with eight full time and two part time staff members with MLS degrees and 29 FTE employees in total.
