Salt Lake County Library Services (SCLCoLS) is a Department of the Human Services Division of Salt Lake County. The Library has an annual budget of over $40 million, the majority coming from a dedicated tax for library services. Due to the direct nature of funding, we do not anticipate any fiscal challenges during the grant term. Salt Lake County Library Services is committed to funding support needed beyond grant funds during the project and to support sustainability. Salt Lake County Library serves a community of over 850,000 residents with 500 employees at 21 service locations, including the South Main Clinic and County Jail facilities. Since its founding in 1939, SLCoLS has served a diverse community and has been active in serving Spanish speakers and immigrants. SLCoLS has worked with refugee organizations in neighborhood community centers and library branches for several years in partnership with various agencies of this project, particularly, the English Skills Learning Center (ESLC). Since the library does not have 501(c)(3) status, we have partnered with ESLC to share in the delivery and management of this project.
