The Springfield-Greene County Library District serves 275,000 Greene County, Missouri, residents. It includes 10 branches – five in the city of Springfield and five in the outlying cities of Ash Grove, Fair Grove, Republic, Strafford and Willard. The Mobile Library bookmobile also stops at 25 neighborhoods and housing developments every week. We employ 250 full-time and part-time staff. Library programming focuses on the area’s abiding interest in the arts, outdoors, genealogy, education and medicine. The area offers many fee-based classes and attractions offering arts and science instruction, so the library district offers an array of related free programs accessible to all.
